DigiTimes reports Apple raised its iPhone Duo order from about 9.7 million to 14 million units, a 44% jump, after strong pre-orders.
The quick version
- The new target covers a full 12 months, not just the rest of 2026.
- Within 30 minutes of pre-orders on October 16, US ship dates slid to January 25. Apple called demand “nothing short of extraordinary.”
- Hitting the number won’t be easy, after reports of trouble with assembly, displays and hinges.
- It launches October 23, starting at $1,999.
My take
The first foldable iPhone is clearly a hit. The question now is whether Apple can actually build enough.
Have a blessed day! And Happy Hacking!
