Hi, I’m Michael, better known online as St0rmshadow.
I’m a Senior Network and Security Architect. I got my start in networking and security at 16, and I’ve been at it for almost 32 years now. I’ve spent most of that time building networks, keeping them running, and defending them.
I’ve also been writing code and scripts for more than 30 years. I’ve been a Linux and BSD nerd since the early ’90s. My favorite tools are Cisco, F5, and Apple gear, and I still get excited about good hardware.
These days I spend a lot of time on AI and agents. I run a small crew of bots that help me research, write, and keep my servers healthy. You’ll see what I learn from them here.
I also run a home lab. It has Cisco switches, Raspberry Pis, Zabbix monitoring, and a few Linux servers in the cloud. Most of my desktops run Arch with Omarchy. If I break something in the lab, there’s a good chance it turns into a post.
Faith comes first for me. I’m a charismatic, Spirit-led Christian, and that shapes how I work and what I write. That’s why you’ll find testimonies here right next to how-tos and security news.
I’m married, and we share our home with two big Maine Coons, Niko and Waffles. They supervise most of the lab work from the keyboard. I also make music as EtherNinja Studios.
About EtherNinja
I started EtherNinja.org in 2010. It covers four things I care about: God, Linux and Omarchy, AI, and agents. Over the years, volunteers have contributed posts and donated services, and I’m grateful for every one of them. You can follow along by RSS or email.
Thanks for stopping by.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
