OpenCode 2.2.1 is out, a week after 2.2.0.
Highlights
- /goal: run
/goal <objective>in the TUI or Desktop and the session keeps going until a reviewer confirms it’s done./goal pause, resumeandclearcontrol it. - Image generation: turn on
experimental.image_generateto let agents create or edit images. - Scheduled prompts: opt-in through
/schedule. - Desktop lets you click a running shell to see its output and stop it, and the redesigned model picker is now the default.
Breaking changes
Only for code that imports @opencode/ai directly: the fal, Black Forest Labs, Replicate and Stability providers are gone, five legacy entry points moved to nested paths, and provider option types are renamed to Config. The CLI, Desktop and HTTP API aren’t affected.
My take
/goal is a big deal for long agent runs. Just give an agent left running on its own tight permissions.
God Bless, and Use the Source!
