Microsoft pushed Azure Linux 3.0.2022 on Friday night, and the changelog lists more than 470 CVEs fixed, Phoronix reports.
What’s in it
- Certificate hardening after the eMudhra incident
- Kernel and common open-source package fixes
- Security fixes for some of Microsoft’s own Azure components
- New Dockerfiles and an OpenVMM confidential-computing patch
My take
470 CVEs in a month is the AI bug-hunting era in a single number. Whatever distro you run, patch on a schedule and actually reboot into the new kernel.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
