On October 7, 2026, Will Graham preached at Galaxy Stadium in Lubbock. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association reported more than 12,000 students and more than 1,200 decisions for Christ. The picture that stuck with me was not the crowd shot. It was students leaving the stands and walking onto the field.
Faith that moves your feet
That is what response looks like when the Spirit convicts. You do not stay comfortable. You get up. You walk. You go public. I grew up around altar calls. I still believe the Holy Spirit uses them — not as theater, but as a moment when pride loses and Jesus wins.
Paul wrote, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). Confession is not a private shrug. Sometimes it is a walk down concrete steps while your friends watch. That vulnerability is not weakness. It is honesty before God.
After the field
Decisions matter. Discipleship matters more. A raised hand without a Bible, a church family, and a prayer life is a seed on shallow soil. If you were one of those 1,200 — or you know someone who was — stick close to a local church, open the Word, and ask the Holy Spirit to keep teaching you. The altar moment is a start. The next quiet mornings are where roots grow.
Jesus’ charge still stands: make disciples, not just decisions (Matthew 28:19–20). I thank God for every student who stepped down. Keep praying for Lubbock. Keep praying for campus ministries everywhere that are still inviting kids to meet Jesus for real — not a brand, not a vibe, the living Lord.
Have a blessed day!
