October 10 also carried a different kind of stadium story — Revival Fire and the Cape to Cairo vision, with Athlone Stadium in the mix. The map runs the length of a continent. The promise is older than any map and bigger than any brand on a banner.
Joel’s word, echoed at Pentecost, still stands: “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh” (Acts 2:17). All flesh. Not one ZIP code. Not one denomination. Not one language. Cape Town to Cairo is a long road, but the Spirit does not get tired of distance.
Continents and living rooms
I get excited when I read about African stadiums filling with worship. I also know the same Spirit fills a small prayer meeting in a town most people fly over. Big stages and small rooms both matter. The question is whether Jesus is lifted up and people actually meet Him — not whether the production value matches a Western tour.
Habakkuk saw a day when “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14). That is the trajectory. Stadium nights are sparks. The covering is the long obedience of churches that keep preaching Christ crucified and risen.
If you pray for revival, pray wide. Pray for pastors you will never meet. Pray for kids who will hear the Gospel in a language you do not speak. Ask the Holy Spirit to keep pouring — on all flesh — until the knowledge of the Lord is not a rumor on another continent but a reality in your own house.
Have a blessed day!
