This past weekend, October 17 and 18, believers packed BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda for the third Rwanda Revival Conference. Free entry, gates open at 10 a.m., two days of worship, prayer and the Word.
What happened
- Phaneroo Ministries International hosted it with Four Square Gospel Church of Rwanda.
- Apostle Grace Lubega of Phaneroo preached.
- Nigerian worship leader Moses Bliss led alongside Rwandan gospel artists.
- Clips people shared on X showed a big crowd with hands raised, worshipping together.
The conference started in 2023, and organizers said more than 5,000 people came to that first one. This year’s theme was about living your faith outside the church walls, in schools and workplaces. Organizers also tied it back to the East African Revival, the move of God that broke out in the 1930s and spread through the region, including Rwanda.
My take
I love seeing a nation that has walked through so much pain fill an arena to worship Jesus. The East African Revival was marked by repentance, reconciliation and people getting right with God and each other, and you can’t manufacture that. Only the Holy Spirit does that. Habakkuk prayed, “O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years.” Looks like He’s still answering that prayer in East Africa.
Have a blessed day! And Happy Hacking!
