The Omarchy community themes page just got a big drop. Omarchy Central reports that on October 24, omarchybot merged PR #623, “Land 53 reviewed theme submissions,” into the omarchy-site repo.
The details
- Merging them one by one kept causing conflicts, since every submission edits the same gallery page. So they went in as one batch, with each contributor’s commit kept unchanged.
- 53 submissions works out to about 54 new themes: two only swap a preview image, and three add two themes each.
- Every theme repo was audited on October 24. Themes “may not ship code, scripts or installers,” so twelve other submissions were left out.
- The gallery now parses to 218 entries. DHH: “200+ themes now.”
Some fun ones
Terminator, Itachi, Cyber Ember, Forest Night, Black Mesa, Tokyo Day (a light take on Tokyo Night), and Farbenlehre, a dark theme based on Goethe’s Theory of Colours. Omarchy Central notes a merge glitch is still hiding a few new entries on the live page.
My take
I like the no-code rule. A theme should be colors and a wallpaper, not a script you have to trust. Time to go theme shopping.
Have a blessed day! And Happy Hacking!
