Hillsong Worship dropped three new songs, “As You Are,” “Praise the Lord Hallelujah Amen” and “Flood,” as the first taste of a live album called Holy Is the Name, coming February 2027.
The songs
The theme comes straight from 1 Peter 1:16: “Be holy, because I am holy.” “As You Are” asks Jesus to cleanse our hands, purify our hearts and tear down idols. “Praise the Lord Hallelujah Amen” runs from the incarnation through the cross and resurrection to His return. “Flood” sings to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit about grace, mercy and faithfulness. Hillsong churches sang them first, and the congregation’s response picked which ones went public. “We write new songs so that people can draw near to God,” worship leader Jad Gillies said.
My take
After everything Hillsong has been through, a holiness album feels right. Holiness isn’t a rulebook. It’s what happens when the Spirit floods a surrendered heart. Put “As You Are” on, let it become your prayer, and give Him the idols you’ve been holding onto.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
