An update to my Apple Watch DST glitch post. Most of the US fell back on Sunday, and now Apple has an official support document.
What Apple says
“This incorrect time appears only on the Always On display when your wrist is down.” Tap the screen or raise your wrist and it shows the right hour.
The fix
- Switch to a different watch face, then switch back, or
- Restart the watch
Those are the same workarounds Europeans found a couple of weeks ago, now confirmed by Apple.
My take
Good to have it in writing. Still no word on a watchOS fix, so expect it again in March unless Apple patches it.
