Apple’s long run of launches wraps up next week. The new HomeView smart home hub and the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K both release on Friday, Nov. 13, MacRumors reports. No other major hardware is expected for the rest of the year.
Context
Since late August, Apple has announced more than 25 new devices and accessories, one of its busiest stretches ever. That includes the OLED MacBook Pro and iPad mini, the M6 iMac and iPhone Duo. I wrote about the earlier wave and the MacBook Pro/iPad/iMac release; these are different products, so this gets its own post.
My take
If you’ve been holding off on a HomeKit hub, Friday is the day. Wait for real reviews before replacing an Apple TV that already works.
