WND Software’s browser demo SSHes into an IBM Z mainframe and runs Wojciech Graj’s DOOM-ASCII in its terminal emulator, The Register reports. No login, no install and no sound. Sessions last five minutes, with room for 50 players at once.
My take
Doom has already run on databases and a Pi Pico, but squinting at demons made of punctuation on a mainframe is a new kind of fun. A great way to burn five minutes.
God Bless, and Use the Source!
