GitHub’s Copilot-powered @GitHub app for Slack and Microsoft Teams can now work across multiple repositories in one conversation. You can ask it to open an issue in one repo, fix a bug in another and open a PR, or list your open PRs everywhere, without starting a new thread.
You can also mention @GitHub anywhere in a message now, not just at the start.
The chat-app angle is the headline, but the multi-repo part is the real story. Agents that can reason across a frontend and a backend at once are a lot more useful than ones stuck in a single repo.
