Nous Research pushed Hermes Agent 0.22.2 on October 15 (still the latest release), and the notes are refreshingly honest: 0.22.1 was built from the wrong commit. It shipped unreleased gateway work and could leave the Microsoft Store app stuck on “Connecting.” 0.22.2 is what 0.22.1 was meant to be.
- The gateway starts properly after a reboot. It used to mistake a reused PID for a running gateway and refuse to start under systemd, launchd or Docker.
- Long local-model turns survive better on laptops, with streaming progress and sleep-aware stall timers.
- Known issue: sessions run under the 0.22.1 gateway can’t be deleted in 0.22.2.
The local-model fixes are the ones I care about. If you run Hermes against a local server, update.
Happy Hacking!
