A small one for Mac owners who travel.
What changed
Apple is now selling updated 70W and 140W power adapters and a new Power Adapter Extension Cable, all with a pill-shaped “AC Connector 2” that Apple says meets updated regulations. The World Travel Adapter Kit, gone since 2025, is back for $39 with five plugs (Types A, C, D, G and I), all using the new connector. When AC Connector 2 started rolling out earlier this year, people found it didn’t fit older extension cables and travel kits. These new versions fix that.
My take
If you got a new charger and your old travel plugs don’t fit, this is why. Check the connector shape before you buy extras.
God Bless, and Happy hacking!
