Leaker Instant Digital says Apple will fold the iPhone’s Action button into Camera Control starting next year, MacRumors reports. One press would open the camera and a long press would run your Action shortcut. iPhone Duo already ships without an Action button.

9to5Mac expects iPhone Air 2 next spring with a second camera and a bigger battery. It argues Apple also has to fix the mono speaker, charging and connectivity trade-offs to win over more than enthusiasts.
My take
Fewer buttons are fine as long as the long-press shortcut stays. That Action button runs half my automations. Rumor until Apple says otherwise.
