WNBA player Sophie Cunningham talked about her faith on Theo Von’s podcast, The Christian Post reports.
What she said
- “I love Jesus.” She calls herself nondenominational, and says her faith “keeps me stable and it keeps me to be who I am”
- On criticism: “I’m not living for their praise”
- “I feel like there’s a revival happening,” pointing to more people with big platforms being “bold and courageous and come out about Jesus”
My take
I love hearing people with huge platforms just say His name. That’s the same boldness the Spirit gave the early church (Acts 4:31). Pray for believers in pro sports and entertainment to stay rooted, find good community on the road, and keep shining. And don’t wait for a celebrity. Revival looks like ordinary people being bold where they are.
God Bless, and Happy hacking!
