He Came on a Walking Stick and Left Running: A Healing Testimony From Malawi

Nyasa Times reports a healing testimony out of Life International Church in Lilongwe, Malawi, and it’s the kind that makes a whole room shout.

What happened

  • Nthungwa Dafalani traveled from Mozambique for a Sunday service. For three years numbness in one leg had him on a walking stick and unable to do much of his daily work. Doctors and traditional healers hadn’t helped.
  • He got there hours before the service started. After prayer, he testified that the pain and numbness left right away.
  • The congregation watched the man who walked in with a stick walk on his own, then run through the auditorium.
  • “What is impossible with people is possible with God,” he told the church. Another man, Scott Mizeki, testified that his knee injury was healed in the same service.

My take

This reads like Acts 3. The lame man at the Beautiful Gate didn’t just stand up, he went in “walking, and leaping, and praising God.” That’s what real healing does. It doesn’t stay quiet. It runs laps.

And look at the hunger. He crossed a border and showed up hours early. I think that matters. God isn’t impressed by distance, but He does honor faith that moves. Jesus said it plainly in Luke 18:27: what’s impossible with men is possible with God. We should be praying for the sick in our own churches with that same expectation. Not a polite prayer. A believing one.

Have a blessed day! And Happy Hacking!
