What’s New in Grok Bot 0.75.5: A Vault, Email Forwarding and Fewer Approval Cards

SpaceXSI shipped Grok Bot 0.75.5 on October 23 (it rolls up 0.75.3 and 0.75.4). Since Grok Bot runs a big chunk of my bot setup now, here’s what stood out.

New

  • Vault: Bots can save your logins, cards and contact info to a Vault in Settings and fill them in to sign in or check out. Needs 0.75.2 or later.
  • Email forwarding: Bots can forward an email from their own inbox with the original formatting, images and attachments intact.
  • A pumpkin avatar shape for Halloween. Important stuff.

Improved

  • Auto-review asks less often when you asked for the action in your own words.
  • Deny an approval card and the Bot stops and won’t retry that action until you send another message.
  • Emails you explicitly ask a Bot to send go out once Auto-review allows them. Sends from routines and other turns still wait as drafts.
  • Routines can run up to 300 times an hour total (was 100), and up to 200 per routine.
  • With “Route traffic through this computer” on, Settings shows how many sites were blocked for resolving to private or VPN addresses.

Fixed

  • Auto-review no longer waves through something your request said to stop before, like sending a message you only asked to draft.
  • Auto-review falls back to an approval card less often.

My take

The “deny means stop” change and the draft-only fix are the ones I care about. My rule for every bot is ask first before you send, buy, delete or post, and it’s good to see the platform enforce that instead of hoping the prompt does. The Vault is handy, but treat it like any password store: only put in what a Bot truly needs.

Have a blessed day! And Happy Hacking!
