A team scanning the boat-shaped Durupınar Formation near Mount Ararat says its radar shows chambers, corridors and three levels inside the 515-foot structure.
What they’re claiming
Radar scientist Khosrow Bakhtar says the patterns aren’t natural rock and calls it “the most significant finding of 45 years of my career.” Prof. Cenker Atila of Sivas Cumhuriyet University, who oversees the permitted project, reviewed the preliminary results. The group, Noah’s Ark Scans, also pulled charred wood from almost 30 feet down. It’s off for carbon-14 dating and species ID.
Keep your feet on the ground
Everything here comes from the team’s own release. It’s preliminary, it’s their own processing, and it hasn’t been peer reviewed. Even the founder says the wood could be from a shepherd’s campfire. A 1996 study concluded the formation is natural.
My take
I love this stuff, and I’ll wait for the lab. My faith doesn’t hang on a radar scan. Jesus Himself pointed to “the days of Noah” (Matthew 24:37). If the dating comes back interesting, great. Either way, the Ark’s real lesson is that God makes a way of rescue before the flood comes.
God Bless, and Use the Source!
