Update: This follows my Omarchy 4.5 RC2 post. RC3 landed on GitHub overnight, with x86 and Arm ISOs plus a new Mac installer (2.3.13).
The RC3 notes spell out the keybinding changes in detail. If you have muscle memory, read this list before you update:
- Calculator: Super + Ctrl + Q is now Super + Shift + Q.
- Activity: Super + Ctrl + T is now Super + Shift + T. Super + Ctrl + T now opens themes.
- Network: Super + Ctrl + W is now Super + Ctrl + N. Super + Ctrl + W now opens backgrounds.
- Nightlight lost its shortcut. It’s under Trigger > Toggle now.
- Super + Comma acts on the newest notification card instead of just dismissing it.
- In a terminal, Super + C / Super + V send Ctrl + Shift + C / V.
There are new defaults that might collide with your own binds too: Super + Q (close), Super + A (select all), Super + M (minimize to the dock), Super + Grave (Quake console), and holding Right Alt for push-to-talk dictation.
To try it, go to Update > Channel > RC, then Update > Omarchy. It’s still a release candidate. The notes say to expect bugs, so take a snapshot first.
Review before you install: read the release notes yourself, back up your config, and try new versions somewhere you can afford to break first.
God Bless, and Needs Garlic!
