GitHub says Copilot now plugs straight into Xcode’s built-in coding assistant, in public preview.
- Starts with the Xcode 27.3 beta and needs macOS Tahoe 26.6 or later
- Set it up in Xcode > Settings > Intelligence
- All Copilot plans are supported
- The separate GitHub Copilot for Xcode extension is still around if you prefer it
My take
Nice for Apple devs who already pay for Copilot. It’s beta Xcode, so don’t move your main projects over yet.
