DHH posted on Nov. 6 that “Omarchy is up and running on the @anduriltech BlueChip,” Omarchy Central reports. It’s a Snapdragon X2 Elite laptop built on Qualcomm’s Glymur reference design.
How fast it went
A hardware report from the Omarchy Arm installer landed on GitHub. Twenty minutes later, new Omarchy Core member Birk Skyum opened a kernel PR that points systemd-stub at the reference design’s device tree. It was merged 30 minutes after that. Within the hour a dedicated BlueChip device tree followed, which also turns on the Goodix touchscreen.
My take
This is what the Snapdragon work buys you. When a laptop sticks close to the reference design, Linux support can show up in an afternoon. Very cool to watch it happen out in the open.
God Bless, and Use the Source!
