The Christian Post dug into a YouTube channel called Case Files America that pumps out clickbait about Christian leaders: “What They Found Hidden Inside Joyce Meyer’s Study,” “What Was Found Hidden Inside Tony Evans’ Mansion,” plus videos implying Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes, Greg Laurie and Joel Osteen are in prison. None of it is true.
How it works
AI-generated thumbnails (one shows a crying Tucker Carlson and “15 DEAD WOMEN FOUND”), a script that seems to be reused with AI, and innuendo that never actually says anything. Pre-roll ads run first, so somebody gets paid. One video twisted a routine trust deed by the late Joni Lamb into a scandal. YouTube’s own rules ban this kind of thing, but CP says the channel was still up.
My take
This is the dark side of cheap AI: lies at scale, for ad money, aimed at the Body of Christ. “You shall not give false testimony” (Exodus 20:16) still applies when a bot writes the script. Before you share a “shocking” pastor video, “test everything; hold on to what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Ask the Holy Spirit for discernment, check a real news source, and report the channel.
God Bless, and Use the Source!
