Alongside iOS 27.2, Apple pushed updates for older systems, MacRumors reports: iOS 26.7.2, iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 18.7.11, iPadOS 18.7.11, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2 and tvOS 26.6.1.

iOS 18.7.11 brings a CoreGraphics fix to the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and 7th-gen iPad, which can’t run iOS 26. A malicious file could lead to code execution, and Apple says it’s aware of a report it “may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals.” iOS 26.7.2 fixes 134 flaws, none flagged as exploited.

Checklist

  • Update every device, including that old XR in the drawer: Settings, General, Software Update.
  • Macs: System Settings, General, Software Update.
  • If a device can’t get updates anymore, think about retiring it.

God Bless, and Needs Garlic!
