All four Artemis II astronauts have now moved on to what’s next.
The news
JPL, which Caltech manages, named Reid Wiseman Caltech associate vice president and deputy director of JPL, starting Nov 30. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said Wiseman “has spent his career at the edge of what is possible.” Victor Glover took an advisor role at Cal Poly. Christina Koch becomes NASA’s acting deputy chief engineer on Nov 1. Jeremy Hansen is on reservist duty with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Their April flight around the moon took humans farther from Earth than ever. NASA is targeting mid-2027 for Artemis III and a crewed landing on Artemis IV in 2028.
My take
A test pilot and moon-mission commander helping run JPL is a great fit. Congrats to him.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
