On “The 700 Club Israel,” Dinesh D’Souza talked about his new book, The Stones Cry Out: Biblical Archaeology, Prophecy, and the Last Days, Charisma reports.
The finds he points to
- Tel Dan Stele: an enemy king’s victory monument that mentions the “house of David,” which pushed back on claims that David was a legend.
- Jericho: fallen walls, stored grain and burned ruins, which he lines up with Joshua’s account.
- A crucified man’s heel bone found in 1968, physical evidence of the Roman execution Jesus endured.
I appreciated that he’s careful to say “when things can be proved, when they are probable, when you can’t be certain.”
My take
Faith doesn’t hang on a shovel, but it’s encouraging when the ground keeps agreeing with the Book. Jesus said if His disciples kept quiet, “the stones will cry out” (Luke 19:40). As D’Souza put it, God is “choosing the quiet language of the dirt to make a point.”
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
