Flea, the community file manager a lot of Omarchy folks use, just shipped 0.4.0 on a new GPU renderer built on GPUI, Omarchy Central reports. Its author promises it’s “faster and lighter (you will feel it).”
Highlights
- Falls back from Vulkan to software Vulkan to OpenGL, and points you to
flea --tuiif nothing works - A real TUI with previews and content search
- 50 languages, matching Omarchy
- Previews for 3D files (STL, OBJ, STEP, G-code)
- “Open agent here” starts Omarchy’s agent in the current folder
- Third-party plugins run as separate processes
My take
A file manager with a TUI fallback is my kind of design. The plugin isolation is a smart call too.
Review before you install: read the release notes yourself, back up your config, and try new versions somewhere you can afford to break first.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
