Charisma is reporting on the teaser for Forrest Frank’s 2027 film, The Jesus Generation, and my spirit jumped reading it. The teaser pulls in moments from his concerts with Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Sadie Robertson Huff, Jelly Roll and Philip Anthony Mitchell, all pointing at a hunger for Jesus, prayer and the gospel in a generation a lot of people had written off.
What stood out
Michael W. Smith says what he’s seen on Frank’s tours reminds him of the Jesus Movement of the late ’60s and ’70s, and that he hasn’t witnessed anything like it any other time in his life. Frank’s own words: “When you finally open yourself up to the gospel, it resonates because it is the truth.”
My take
This is what revival looks like when the Holy Spirit gets hold of young people. God promised He’d pour out His Spirit and “your sons and daughters will prophesy” (Acts 2:17). Let’s pray this wave keeps rising, and that it turns into real disciples, not just big crowds.
God Bless, and Use the Source!
