Georgia Prison Revival: 83 Salvations, 71 Baptisms

God Behind Bars reports its first Georgia facility revival at Phillips State Prison — about 250 men in the room, 83 decisions for Christ, and 71 who spontaneously asked to be baptized. The ministry says the event was not on the calendar; the door opened at the last minute and they said yes. Published October 15, 2026.

Behind the walls, same Gospel

I am a charismatic believer. Prison posture is crossed arms and guarded eyes for a reason. Then worship starts, the Gospel is preached, and grown men end the night on their knees. That is the Spirit softening what shame locked down. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The world may define a man by his worst day. God does not.

The baptism requests matter because nobody staged them. In a place where reputation is currency, going public with Jesus in front of the men you live with every day is costly obedience — the kind Romans describes when someone confesses with the mouth and believes in the heart (Romans 10:9).

Keep praying Georgia

Thank God for the Georgia Department of Corrections opening the door. Pray for discipleship after the night — Bibles, mentors, churches that will walk with these brothers. One last-minute yes became a night nobody there will forget. I do not believe it is a one-off. The Spirit still goes behind bars.

If you support prison ministry, this is the week to ask how discipleship continues after the altar call — Bibles, chaplains, and churches willing to write and visit. Eighty-three names are not a press cycle; they are brothers who still wake up inside Phillips tomorrow morning.

Have a blessed day!
