How I Run Daily AI-Assisted Research for This Blog

This is a quick, high-level look at how daily AI-assisted research feeds this blog. No secret sauce, just a workflow you can copy.

The flow

  1. Research: an agent scans my beats each morning (faith, Omarchy and Linux, AI, security, Apple and space) and sends a list of short briefs, each with a source link.
  2. Dedupe: before anything is written, every brief is checked against what’s already on the site. Repeats get skipped. Real follow-ups become clearly labeled “Update:” posts that link back to the original.
  3. Drafts only: posts are written as drafts. Nothing goes live until I read it and say yes.
  4. Checks: every post gets a references section with working links, an approved image and the right tags.

Guardrails that matter

  • A human approves every publish.
  • No personal info goes into posts.
  • Sources first. Agents summarize real reporting, they don’t make things up.

Why it works

The AI does the legwork of finding and summarizing. I keep the judgment and the voice. If you blog, start with the dedupe step. It saves the most time.
