PR #15326 merged October 14, 2026: Omarchy now speaks the same 50-language roster as omarchy.org. Setup → Language or omarchy language <code> switches the menu, Quickshell desktop, and Omarchy notifications live; system locale follows so third-party apps catch up on the next login. The full manual is translated — 51 chapters per language.
What actually shipped
English stays default and fallback. Catalogs cover menu, shell, and CLI notification strings; stock Noto fonts already cover the scripts. RTL languages render text via Qt bidi, but shell layout is not mirrored yet. Terminal/diagnostic output and plugin manifest names are deliberately still English. That honesty in the PR is useful — know what is localized before you demo it.
Omarchy Central reported the merge and later CJK input polish. I am anchoring facts on the GitHub PR. If you install for a non-English household, this is the feature that stops Omarchy feeling like an English-only lab distro.
Try it
Pick a language, confirm the menu and shell flip without a restart, then log out/in for apps that only read locale at session start. Keep a terminal cheat sheet until your fingers learn the translated labels. Fifty languages is a lot of surface area — file gaps when you find them.
Translating 51 manual chapters is the unglamorous half of this merge. When something reads wrong in your language, file it — i18n only stays honest if native speakers poke holes. English fallback means you will not brick the box; broken labels still waste a support night.
Have a blessed day!
