OpenCode 2.2.4: Terminals That Survive Restarts, Artifacts and Guided Claude Setup

OpenCode 2.2.4 dropped October 30, right after 2.2.2 and 2.2.3 this morning.

What’s new

  • Persistent desktop terminals: they belong to the session, survive server restarts with scrollback and stay synced with the TUI.
  • Artifacts (experimental): set "experimental": { "artifacts": true } and agents can publish and serve HTML or static artifacts.
  • Guided Claude Agent setup: walks you through claude auth login and verifies the connection.
  • Schedules under opencode serve now fire only once across multiple processes (still opt-in).
  • Local OpenCode requests skip environment-configured proxies.

My take

Terminals that survive restarts are the one I’ve wanted. Artifacts are neat, but anything that lets an agent serve files deserves a careful look at what it exposes.

God Bless, and Happy hacking!
