The Open Secure AI Alliance, launched in July with more than two dozen companies to keep open AI models secure, is now a Linux Foundation project, Phoronix reported back on September 2. It was founded by a GPU maker and backed by groups including IBM/Red Hat, SpaceX, OpenClaw and Palantir.
What it’s for
Open tools, shared standards and defensive practices for inspecting, auditing and securing AI systems. One piece is SAFE, the Shared AI Findings Exchange, for sharing AI threat intel.
My take
Neutral governance matters for security work. A shared, open stack for auditing models beats every company rolling its own.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
