Update: In my last UniteUS post I mentioned South Alabama in Mobile was the next stop. Well, God showed up.
What happened
Pathway Church pastor Travis Johnson posted video of late-night baptisms in the back of a pickup truck at the University of South Alabama. A student named Emily told him she’d asked Jesus to be Lord of her life and to forgive her sins: “I have, and I need that so bad.” Then he asked the crowd who would walk with her “all the way to the finish line.” Tonya Prewett posted that more than 600 students made decisions for Jesus that night.
My take
I love that Travis didn’t just dunk her and move on. He called the crowd to disciple her. That’s the fruit that lasts. Revival isn’t the arena night, it’s the next 50 years. Keep praying for these campuses, and if you know a college kid, call them this week. “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them” (Matthew 28:19).
God Bless, and Happy hacking!
