What’s New in GitHub Copilot CLI 1.0.100: Telemetry Off Switch and No More MCP Stalls

GitHub Copilot CLI 1.0.100 shipped. It’s a long changelog, so here are the highlights.

New

• --disable-client-telemetry turns off client telemetry uploads.
• --trust-folder for one-off -p or piped sessions.
• Install verified Skills and plugins straight from GitHub install links.
• /share with no arguments opens a full-screen share menu.
• Sandbox traffic honors HTTPS_PROXY/HTTP_PROXY.

Fixed

• Sessions no longer stall for minutes when an MCP server hangs while loading tools.
• Google’s Gemini tool calls and chats are more reliable.
• Reasoning-only max-token responses no longer loop forever.
• A double Ctrl+C exits right away, and Linux sandbox startup is more reliable.
• Saved /diff review comments survive reopening.

The telemetry flag and the MCP stall fix are the ones I’ll use.
