Right before the cross, Jesus told His friends something surprising: “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear” (John 16:12).
The point
A Christian Post column digs into that verse. Jesus wasn’t holding back because the truth was secret. He held back because they weren’t ready yet. The writer compares it to the difference between teaching eighth graders and graduate students. Then comes the promise: “When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth” (John 16:13).
My take
That’s good news for anyone who feels behind. God isn’t dumping everything on you in one download. The Holy Spirit is a patient Teacher who leads step by step, as fast as you can carry it. So don’t panic about what you don’t understand yet. Stay close, stay in the Word, and keep listening. He’ll show you what’s next when it’s time.
