YouVersion launched a new app just for teenagers called Bible Loop, The Christian Post reports, and it’s already passed 1 million installs worldwide.
What it is
- It started as a test in India, built on strong engagement with the Bible App for Kids, then rolled out globally. It’s now available in the US and in four languages
- Two features set it apart: a verse memorization game with an anonymous leaderboard, and Daily Check-Ins where teens share how they feel and get devotional content that fits
- YouVersion partnered with OneHope, a ministry that has focused on reaching kids and youth since 1987, and their research shaped the app
Founder Bobby Gruenewald says teens are “at a stage of life when independence is growing and habits are forming.”
My take
Anything that gets the Word into a teenager’s heart every day gets a yes from me. “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word” (Psalm 119:9). Memorizing Scripture young pays off for life, and the Holy Spirit brings it back to mind right when it’s needed (John 14:26). Parents and youth leaders, check it out with your kids.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
