Anthropic launched Personal Finance in Claude, 9to5Mac reports. It’s for US paid subscribers, starting now.
- Connect bank and card accounts and ask about your money in plain English. It can show dashboards and calendars
- Access is read-only: it “can’t move, manage, or invest your money,” and it’s not investment advice
- You connect through Plaid and sign in to your bank yourself, so Claude never sees your bank password
- Anthropic says Claude can make mistakes, so ask which transactions are behind a number and check against your bank
My take
Read-only is the right call. I’d still think hard before handing any AI my whole transaction history.
