Cursor’s Nov 5 changelog has a big one: you can build live apps inside Cursor and share them with a link.
How it works
- Kick off a cloud agent and tell it you want to build an app. It scaffolds the web app, can spin up Postgres, sets auth behind Cursor SSO, and provisions hosting
- You pick a unique domain when you publish and get a live link
- Before anything goes live it runs security checks (secrets in files, exposed credentials). Nothing publishes until checks pass and you explicitly say so
- Team admins can see every app and secret, add review rules, approve blocked publishes, and unpublish
- Share with people, groups or the whole team behind Cursor sign-in; individual plans can share publicly
- Works from Cursor Origin and GitHub repos; GitLab is coming
Cursor’s own teams are already building ops tools, training experiences and sales dashboards this way.
My take
Agents writing code was step one. Getting past localhost is the hard part. The human publish gate is the right default.
Review before you install: read the release notes yourself, back up your config, and try new versions somewhere you can afford to break first.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
