Friday’s “Today in Omarchy” from tcballard had a few changes that didn’t make the theme gallery headline, and a couple of them are things you’ll notice on your next install.
A bigger Agents panel
A Quattro merge takes the Agents panel from six usage collectors to 23 and adds nine default-agent launchers. So more of the AI coding agents you might use can report their usage in one place, and more of them can be picked as your default. The PR notes real launcher installs were tested on x86_64, but not on ARM yet. If you’re on ARM, give it a little time.
Git setup can wait
Two merged development changes move Git name and email setup out of the installer and into a “Setup Git” notification after you first log in. Fewer questions during install is a good thing. Just don’t forget to click it before your first commit, or your commits won’t have your name on them.
A one-command iPad install, coming
Henrik is previewing a one-command Omarchy install for the iPad, and says it took 3.8 minutes. It’s marked preview, coming soon. We already covered Omarchy running natively on an iPad 6, and this is the step that makes that easy for regular folks.
All of this is in development, so if you’re on stable you’ll see it when it ships. If you test the RC or dev channel, keep a backup or snapshot handy.
Have a blessed day! And Happy Hacking!
