Update: You Can Turn Off the New MacBook Pro’s Touchscreen Entirely

Following up on why Apple finally put touch on the MacBook Pro (and the original launch post).

What’s new

MacStories’ Federico Viticci says the new OLED MacBook Pro has an accessibility setting that turns touch input off completely. He also says there’s an option to turn on pinch-to-zoom across the macOS Golden Gate interface.

My take

This is the right call. Some people will love touch. Others just want to stop smudging their screen or bumping it by accident. An off switch keeps both camps happy.

God Bless, and Happy hacking!
