What’s New in Grok Bot 0.75.8: Auto-Review Rule Cards, Fewer Approval Prompts, and Musk’s Pages/Vault/Video Spotlight

Grok Bot has been shipping almost every day this month. The newest build on the changelog is 0.75.8 (rolling up 0.75.6 and 0.75.7), and today Elon Musk quote-posted SpaceXSI’s Matt Palmer’s “What’s New in Grok Bot” video, putting Pages, the Vault and video creation front and center. I covered the Vault when it landed in 0.75.5, so here’s what’s new since.

New in 0.75.8

  • Auto-review rule cards: a Bot can offer to add, change or remove one of your Auto-review rules on a card you confirm.
  • Auto-review takes a second look before showing an approval card, so fewer safe actions need one.
  • When background work finishes, the Bot completes what you asked and says what it would do next, instead of acting on its own or on another agent’s approval.
  • Scheduling uses whichever calendar you connected, Google or Outlook.
  • Plugins a Bot installs mid-task can have their skills used right away.
  • Fixes: connectors like X pick up new tools without reconnecting, expired sign-ins show Authenticate instead of Connected, and connector images arrive as real images.

The spotlight recap

Palmer’s video rounds up Pages (reports, memos and dashboards you edit with the Bot), video creation from a prompt or an image, the 1Password tie-in, deeper iPhone access to Home, Reminders, Calendar and more, plus parallel subagents for images and video and pinned files.

My take

That “says what it would do next instead of acting on another agent’s approval” change is exactly the rule I’ve been drilling into my own bots: ask first, then act. Good to see it baked into the product.

God Bless, and Use the Source!
