Canonical released Mir 2.31, its C++ libraries for building Wayland shells, Phoronix reports.
- Experimental ext_foreign_buffer_v1, so a client can attach a compositor-maintained buffer from an image-capture source
- xdg-decoration v2 (unstable) and mir_shell_v1 v2 (experimental)
- A freely positioned magnifier, display configuration data, and input and app authorization support
My take
Small but steady Wayland progress.
God Bless, and May the Source Be with You!
